Ethos

I have two main values: sustainability and inclusivity. As climbers, we spend a lot of time in beautiful, wild places. In my eyes, this means we have an obligation to keep them this way or to improve them. Where it is not possible to repair or repurpose old equipment, retired gear is recycled through companies and schemes such as ‘scavenger’ and ‘dirtbag climbing’ who provide alternatives to landfill. All business cards and other consumables are made from recycled and recyclable materials and where possible, public transport or car sharing is encouraged! The carbon footprint of each journey is also offset through Ecologi's tree planting scheme.

The other value is inclusivity. There are many barriers to climbing: cost, knowledge, equipment to name a few, as well as more systematic barriers such as sexism, racism, transphobia etc. I aim to create a space where diversity in all forms is welcomed and celebrated. Rather than just taking clients out for a fun day (unless that’s what you want!), I’ll teach safety skills to allow people to become independent in their climbing, and therefore access it at a lower cost afterwards. Finally, climbing is for every body type and shape, with no prerequisite on upper body strength or body weight, and I would love to share the joys of climbing and progression with everyone.
